Alleged campus rape details still murky

A charge of rape was reported to have occurred Oct. 11 between 3 and 6 a.m. at the Descosimo Apartments at 815 University St.Officer Rebecca Tolbert filed the UTC police report that stated a black, female victim was sexually assaulted by a male party.

In the report, the victim stated she and a friend had met two males off campus at The Drink night club when they came back to the Decosimo Apartments.

The victim said she was told the apartment was the residence of the black male's "sister" who was a student. The victim said she never saw the "sister" in the apartment.

The victim contacted the Chattanooga Police department who forwarded the call to UTC Police. According to the UTC police report, nothing further was to be reported at the time of filing.
