Four Chattanooga wrestlers recently earned rankings in three national preseason wrestling polls.

Matt Keller leads the way for the wrestling Mocs, as the 2006 All-American is ranked fifth in all three polls.

Also joining Keller in the collegiate rankings are Michael Keefe, Aaron Martin and Javier Maldonaldo. The three publications that released the rankings are Amateur Wrestling News, TheWrestlingMall.com and Wrestling International Newsmagazine.

Keller, a senior from McDonald, Tenn., was voted Most Outstanding Wrestler at the 2006 Southern Conference Championships after claiming the 133-pound title.

Keller then went on to finish eighth at the NCAA Championships to capture All-American status.

The lofty ranking is a career-best for Keller. His previous high was No. 6 last season, when he was nationally ranked during the entire year.

Keefe, a Ringgold, Ga., native, is ranked No. 16 by TheWrestlingMall.com, 17th by Amateur Wrestling News and 18th by Wrestling International Newsmagazine.

The junior wrestlers in the 141-pound division and was an All-American in 2005. Keefe earned a wildcard berth in the NCAA last season.

Keefe was ranked as high as No. 4 last season, the highest by any Chattanooga wrestler last season.

Martin, who claimed the SoCon title last season at 149 pounds, is ranked 17th by both Amateur Wrestling News and Wrestling International Newsmagazine. The senior from Pataskala, Ohio, is ranked at 18th by TheWrestlingMall.com. Martin was ranked only once during the 2005-06 season.

Maldonaldo enters this season ranked 16th by Wrestling International Newsmagazine and 17th by Amateur Wrestling News and TheWrestlingMall.com.
