061818 - A 20-year-old female reported to police several harassing text messages she received on her phone. She did not know where or who they were coming from. The victim had saved them in her phone and let an officer read them. A few of the messages said, "I'll be waiting for you when you get home," and "Hope you got eyes in the back of your head." These messages are among several threats made, including a couple of sexual threats. The phone number from the messenger is the only suspect information at this time.

061826 - A mother and son fell down the stairs of the McKenzie Arena when the lights were turned off at the beginning of the Disney on Ice show. The mother was holding the son's hand when she fell, and in turn the son fell. This occurred on row 322 at the upper level. The mother hit her head and hurt her arm, but the son had no injuries.

061839 - A female victim caught two male suspects playing on the ice at McKenzie Arena. One of the suspects threw a container of hydraulic fluid at her, while trying to get away. Both suspects were drinking underage. Felt Entertainment did not wish to prosecute the suspects for taking their hydraulic fluid. The victim did not want to prosecute, either. Both suspects are being referred to student affairs.

061852 - According to police reports, a 20-year-old male victim was "ganged" by several unknown suspects. The victim told police that seven to eight males jumped him and then left the scene in a black Honda Element. The victim had some minor cuts and bruises, but refused any medical treatment. Because of the lack of information about the suspects, there was no other police action at the time.

061861 - A security officer called police to report students who were arguing with him outside the University Center. The students had been trying to write in chalk on the new sidewalks and were told to stop by the security officer. One of the students then started yelling at the officer and flailing her hands in the air. Upon police arrival, they pulled into the turn-around in front of Grote and the University Center and got on the PA system to advise the students to stop. The police officer then told them to come to his car, but the students started walking away. The officer then turned on his blue lights and asked them to stop again. One suspect tried to get into the doors of the UC. The police officer left the patrol car and stopped the suspect from entering the UC. The suspect then started arguing with the officer, saying she did not hear or see the officer. However, the officer was in a full duty uniform and driving a white full-sized sedan patrol car, as well as speaking over the PA loudspeaker. Another witness, riding in the police officer's car, said that the suspects did in fact see the officer and had no intention of stopping. The suspects were in direct violation of the Student Code of Conduct and failed to obey lawful orders given by university officials. The police report will be forwarded to the office of student affairs for review.

061868 - At the request of a previous male victim of robbery, police were dispatched to 815 University St. The victim wanted to file a report of assault by intimidation. The victim had previously been the victim of strong-arm robbery, in which a male suspect was identified. On this date, the victim was inside the convenience store when he noticed the suspect and others who appeared to be the suspect's friends in the store as well. The victim felt threatened by the suspect's presence and called the UTC police to come to the area should anything happen. The suspect then approached the victim in an attempt to talk, but the victim refused to talk directly because of the current situation in the courts. The suspect then left and came back to make threats against the victim for calling the police. The victim saw the marked patrol cars arrive at the location of the store and the suspect fled. The victim wishes to proceed with charges of assault by intimidation.
