UC employees much friendlier this year

We would like to applaud food services for the staff they have hired to work in the UC this semester.

Almost all of the employees seem genuinely friendly, and they are quick to help with any problems or concerns.

Last year, we experienced many occasions waiting in the checkout line in the UC where workers were talking on their cell phones or to their friends, holding up the line and frustrating busy students.

However, this semester, cashiers are very efficient and try to keep students moving. We have even seen managers step in and ring up customers when the line starts getting long.

Additionally, food seems to be prepared more quickly. We feel we have had to wait around much less at heavily congested kiosks, even at peak hours.

And instead of standing around talking and ignoring customers, workers actually help you when you are at the counter. It's definitely a nice change from last semester.

It seems as if there is some turnover of workers in the UC, and we hope that food services is able to maintain these employees so we will continue to experience good service with a great attitude.
