060602 - An officer responded to a victim at 815 University St. The victim said she lost her identification, wallet and keys on March 23. The victim said she was advised that the wallet was found on a campus CARTA bus and turned into the police department. The victim went to the office and, upon inspection of the wallet, discovered the entry swipe card to her apartment missing.
060604 - An officer responded to a theft report that occurred in a parking lot behind the UTC Place 2000 building. The victim said she had parked her vehicle on March 26 at about 6 p.m. and discovered it had been broken into upon returning March 29 at about 2:40 p.m. Items taken from the car included an AM/FM CD player valued at approximately $250 and a wallet containing several forms of identification, medical cards and debit cards. There are no suspects in this case.
060607 - At about 8:30 p.m., police were called to Boling Apartments by the resident assistant in reference to a loud noise he had heard inside the complex, which he said sounded like a gunshot. Inside, police found a 20-ounce Mellow Yellow bottle that had been melted and still contained a liquid with a strong chemical odor inside. Spread throughout the same area were pieces of aluminum foil, which probably were scattered during the explosion. The Chattanooga Fire Department was called, and the battalion chief sent an entire engine company to the scene based on the initial information he had of the incident. The incoming units were then canceled. There was no observed damage to property or reported injuries. At this time there are no suspects in this case.
