The fact that men really don't want people to know a lot about their personality is reflected in their wallets. Men put about as much thought into the contents and style of their wallet as they do in a choice of clothes.

Recently on the Web, there was a story about a man that robbed a local gas station and forgot his wallet, obviously making it easy for the police to catch him. This event begs the question, "How important is a man's wallet to him?"

If a stranger happened to find a woman's purse lying on the ground, they could most likely find out everything they wanted to know about that person. Women put a lot of personality into the choosing and contents of their purses and wallets.

But what if a stranger found a man's wallet? What would they be able to tell about that man, if anything?

"They would be able to tell that most of my friends are girls, and that I'm not a very organized person," said Josh Brown, a Knoxville freshman. "The only other thing that would be pretty obvious is that I like to play a lot of games because I have several gaming cards, but beyond that there's really not a lot they would be able to tell."

Reece Cofer, a Chattanooga sophomore, believes that someone could find out only two things by looking in his wallet.

"I'm very organized and that I have a lot of unused cards because most of them have already expired," he said.

"Maybe that would hint to the fact that sometimes I just can't let go."

Although Drew Cozart, a freshman from Alcoa, Tenn., first thought that there wasn't much to his wallet, he soon realized that there was a lot more personality than he thought.

"I never really thought about the kind of things that I put into my wallet," Cozart said.

"If a stranger found my wallet they would probably be able to tell that I'm very disorganized and that I'm a very personable guy because I have a picture of about everyone I know."

Although men might put a couple of pictures of their loved ones in their wallets, along with a couple of credit cards or IDs, men really don't put forth much thought at all into creating a wallet with personality, the students agreed.

There are even some men that don't have a wallet at all, they simply use a tight rubber band to hold together their livelihood.

Even though some men might shell out a good deal of money for a really nice wallet, they still have the same exact things in their fancy wallet as the guys with the rubber band do.
